Profile: Megan Ceccarelli

Megan is a registered nurse in Labor and Delivery in the Birthing Centre at Health Sciences North. She cares for women during all stages of labor, delivery and immediate post-partum, in addition she tends to the well-being of newborn babies. Megan was born and raised in Sudbury and completed her post-secondary studies at Laurentian University. Megan stayed in Sudbury as all of her family and friends are here and Sudbury has always been a place she loves to call home!

She was inspired to pursue a career in the medical field since growing up with a sibling who was born premature, sick, and in and out of the hospital. Megan got to experience first-hand the hardship of traveling for care for her younger sister and the strains it can put on a family.

Megan fell in love with nursing in her third year at Laurentian University when she realized how rewarding it was to help people in their most vulnerable moments of their lives. Megan strongly believes that the growth of NEO Kids will be life-changing for children and their families in the north!

“Becoming a nurse was one of the best decisions of my life. It is definitely a privilege to be a nurse and have such an amazing work family within NEO Kids.”
